DAY 1

EXPLORING KIGALI CITY

In the morning you will be picked up from your hotel and you will enjoy a full day city tour in Kigali including a visit to the genocide museum and mille colline, the local markets and the natural history museum. After an intense day, you will head back to the hotel for relaxation and overnight.

DAY 2

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF THE RWANDESE

Today you will visit different NGO's operating in Rwanda, many which emerged to address the needs of survivors from the genocide. In the afternoon you will transfer to Musanze and check-in at your lodge for dinner and overnight.

DAY 3

MEET THE GORILLAS

After breakfast, you will head to the park headquarters and after a safety briefing and more information about the gorilla family you will visit, you will start trekking. Once you get to the gorilla family you will have approximately one hour to spend with them.

DAY 4

IN THE FOOTSTEPS OF DIANA FOSSEY

Early morning you will trek to the tomb of Diana Fossey. It is one of the most popular safari activities while visiting volcanoes national park and affords good views of forest hogs, forest elephants and a variety of primates and bird species.

DAY 5

NATURE WALKS IN BUHANGA ECO PARK

Today you will go for a nature walk in buhanga eco-park. Buhanga eco the park has been a sacred forest where the Rwandese kings performed initiation ceremonies.

DAY 6

SCENIC NYUNGWE FOREST NATIONAL PARK

After breakfast, you will depart towards one of Rwanda's most special national parks. You will visit the Murambi genocide memorial on the way. In the evening you will head to your lodge for dinner and overnight in Nyungwe forest national park.

DAY 7

COLOBUS MONKEY TREKKING IN SCENIC NYUNGWE FOREST NATIONAL PARK

In the morning you will head into the dense forest to track down the colobus monkey. You will also be able to go for a canopy walk in the forest. It will be an unforgettable day surrounded in the montane rainforest and the primates of the national park.

DAY 8

CANOPY WALK-IN KIBUYE

In the morning you will transfer to Kibuye and you will go for the 160-meter canopy walk. You will overnight near Kibuye.

DAY 9

KIBUYE CITY TOUR

Today you will visit Kibuye town and visit the Bisesero genocide memorial. The memorial is home to stunning scenery and a stirring genocide memorial. The tour will end with a visit to st. Pierre. You will return to your accommodation for lunch and relaxation in the afternoon.

DAY 10

BIG FIVE ADVENTURES IN AKAGERA

Today you will transfer to Akagera national park, the park is the most famous park in Rwanda to see the big five. In the afternoon you will enjoy a sunset boat ride on Lake Ihema.

DAY 11

BIG FIVE ADVENTURES IN AKAGERA

Today you will go for a game drive but also get to meet and talk to the rangers, anti-poaching patrols and community projects. It's a fascinating insight into the often very political world of modern wildlife conversation in east Africa and the day-to-day running of a protected zone.

DAY 12

BACK TO THE CITY

After breakfast, you will start your game drive en-route to the park gates and drive back to Kigali and upon arrival, you can go for some arts and crafts shopping and lunch before heading to the airport or your hotel.
