DAY 1 -3
CAPE TOWN
Of the triumvirate of South Africa’s capital cities, Cape Town is the oldest and sunniest. It’s also home to some top-notch cuisine, white-sand beaches, and lively boutiques and cafés. Just beyond the city, wildlife-spotting and wine country await. full-day foodie tour, during which you’ll sample the street food in Woodstock, check out Cape Town’s trendiest cafés on Bree Street and stroll by the brightly coloured houses in fashionable Bo-Kaap. Tickets to the nearby District Six Museum. stroll to nearby Table Mountain Nature Reserve. On request, we can organise hikes with a guide, if needed. Alternatively, ride the cable car up to the top for sweeping views across the coast. The sandy white beaches of Clifton Bay are just beyond, and ideal spots for sunning, surfing and people-watching.
DAY 4-5
GARDEN ROUTE AND WINELANDS
Your car hire will be delivered to your cape town hotel, so you can putter around at whatever pace you choose for the rest of your holiday. At your leisure, make your way to your next accommodation in South Africa’s Garden Route and Winelands, about an hour outside of Cape Town. When you arrive, explore the verdant grounds, or marvel at views of the Franschhoek Mountains. The next day heads out for your a day of guided wine tastings – three to be exact. In the evening, snag a table on the terrace for a helping of Klein Dassenberg Mountain views with your South African-influenced dishes (and a splash of your new favourite wine).
DAY 6-7
Plettenberg Bay
Along this section of South Africa’s Garden Route and Winelands, you’ll find Plettenberg Bay and its white-sand beaches to the east and Knysna Elephant Park to the west, so you’ll be set for adventures of both the wet and wild varieties. A drive along the coast (3,5 hours). and the next day has a private guided tour through the Tsitsikamma National park an area of the Garden Route National Park that stretches along the coast and encompasses a marine reserve, deep gorges and lush vegetation. Pack your nerves of steel for crossing the suspension bridge that hangs over Storms River.
